‘Still Life Observation’ is one of the fundamental skills that is exercised in still life drawings. The study requires the learner’s unwavering concentration on the object, followed by making a conscious and an informed decision on how those objects translate into the work produced. Still Life Drawing gives the learners a clear understanding of light and shading techniques. Moreover, it helps to refine the skill of creating well-proportioned drawings.
Students of Grade 6 learnt Shading during Virtual Art classes and demonstrated their work. They learnt the different techniques of shading like Blending, Hatching, Cross hatching, Stippling etc and applied the light to dark shades using Tint, Tone, Hue and Shade color’s in still life objects.
