Admissions Information for Students Transferring Mid-Session
For students entering AGS during:
- Grade 9 or between Grade 9 and 10
- Grade 11 or between Grade 11 and 12
Changing schools in the middle of a session can be hard as schools do not always offer the same CIE/ IB subjects and each school covers the content at different times. However, the IBO is well aware that students sometimes need to transfer from school to school and we at AGS try to do our best to help students through the transition.
Mid-program transfers involve the sharing of information and CIE/IB documentation from school to school through the CIE/IB Coordinators. As a matter of testing security, CIE/IBO expects that all assessment documentation to be handled by the Coordinators.
Transfer students should request the listed information from their current teachers and program Coordinator. We request you to send all the information in a single package before the student begins school.
Extended Essay
Student: Indicate subject area, topic and research question prior to joining school. Bring the outline and all notes for review with new EE advisor.
Request to Coordinator: Information on the status of the student’s Extended Essay from the EE advisor, including comments that might be useful for the EE coversheet.

Request to Coordinator: Information on approach to TOK at previous school and sequence of topics covered. Presentation scoring and partially completed TOK form if applicable.
